2 volumes octavo (22 cm). In tan calf triple-ruled in gilt on boards, with small quatrefoil tools in corners. Six-compartment spines tooled in blind with raised bands highlighted in gilt. Red and green title labels. Marbled edges, marbled endleaves. Corners and edges a bit scuffed, boards less so. Joints reinforced with Japan paper. Loss at head of spine in volume II replaced with Japan paper. Hinges reinforced. Traces of old bookplate on front pastedowns. Occasional contemporary underlining in pencil, almost all in the first 30 pages.
