Compiled by one Alfred Coulson and addressed 'to his friends at Yate Court,' this is a deeply personal and moving piece of himan history from around the turn of the c.18. With pasted-in plates and cuttings of places visited and newsworthy figures, handwritten thoughts and poems, artistic figures, and even a pressed plant cutting, this is a poignant token of a rich friendship. In a quarter-calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, smart with some rubbing, particularly to spine, with slight loss to head of spine.
