Series: Physical Review, vol. 76, no. 8. Offprint. pp. 1180-1186. Original green printed wrappers. Very good. Printed at the Lancaster press. "After receiving his doctorate, Steinberger attended the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton for a year. In 1949 he published a calculation of the lifetime of the neutral pion, which anticipated the study of anomalies in quantum field theory" [this paper]. / BIOGRAPHY: Steinberger worked at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, and won the 1988 Nobel Prize for Physics, along with Leon Lederman and Melvin Schwartz, "for the neutrino beam method and the demonstration of the doublet structure of the leptons through the discovery of the muon neutrino". "Jack Steinberger was a Physicist at the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) (1968-1986). Other institutional affiliations include Columbia University, University of California, Berkeley, and the Institute for Advanced Studies." :: AIP.
