58 pages, Binding with full details front in good condition, some ageing/dirt. Contents mainly very good, clean & tight, inside front " J. Smith, March 14th 1871" with drawing of a quill below ( the extra is a drawing of a quill signed within S. Smith other side is a manuscript arithmetic/bill. John Newark was a schoolmaster. c1827 moved from Great Yarmouth to London. By 1851 was a writing master, later became Head Writing and Commercial Master of Camberwell Grammar School, then into private teaching. To front includes Printed for the Author to be sold by C. Bean, Hoxton( London). End of book is printed Published by T. Goode, so would think T. Goode was just the printer. Also printed to front is First Series, Twelfth edition. From a quick net check found other Arithmetic book by same author, but no copies or mention of this book, and not listed in BL. 10 x 16cm Approx. Seller Inventory # 001907
