BARTOLI (Fivizzano 1833 - Genova 1894), storico della letteratura italiana, fu assieme a Vieusseux segretario e collaboratore dell'Archivio storico italiano e fu tra i fondatori dell'Archivio veneto. monumentale Storia della Letteratura Italiana (1878-1889), interrotta al 7° volume, sul Petrarca". PAPA, dantista, fu valente discepolo e diligente collaboratore del celebre linguista toscano Adolfo Bartoli nella compilazione del catalogo della Biblioteca Nazionale Fiorentina e geniale studioso di questioni dantesche, quando fondò col critico fiorentino G.L.Passerini "La biblioteca storico critica della letteratura dantesca".
