A single leaf from a German edition of Cicero, probably 16th century. The recto bears a woodcut of animals, a stag being brought down by dogs, also a bear and a hog. The running title at the top of the page is "Geburlicher werck." and the numeral XXV. The verso bears text only and the running title "Das Erst theyl". Some light creases, not affecting image, fine otherwise. Size of the leaf is 8 x 12 inches; the image measures about 6.2 x 5.5 inches. This same image appears in the German edition of Cicero published by Egenolff in Frankfurt in 1550, but with different accompanying text and the running title: "Von Geburlichen Wercken". We have been unable to exactly determine from which edition this leaf was extracted. Seller Inventory # 55505
