About the Author

Roger Davis holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Calgary. He taught at Grant MacEwan University for ten years, where he also served as the academic integrity officer. He currently teaches at Red Deer College. His teaching and research areas include poetry and poetics, Canadian literature, and monstrosity, particularly cannibalism in film.

 

Laura K. Davis is a faculty member at Red Deer College, where she teaches and researches in the areas of Canadian literature, multiculturalism, contemporary women’s literature, and writing studies. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Alberta. She has published on Margaret Laurence and Joy Kogawa in the Journal of Canadian Studies and the British Journal of Canadian Studies. With Cristina Santos, Brock University, she edited the book, The Monster Imagined: Humanity’s Re-Creation of Monsters and Monstrosity, published by Inter-Disciplinary Press (Oxford, UK, 2010). She was awarded a University of Alberta Teaching Award in 2006.
