Rita Risser is the founder of Fair Measures and an attorney, author and speaker. Rita's experience includes working with the Disability Law Center and the legal department of a Fortune 500 corporation, and from 1981 to 1990, heading her own firm representing both employers and employees. Her legal practice now is limited exclusively to consulting with executives and HR professionals on implementing procedures for managing in the spirit of the law. Rita's book Stay Out of Court! The Manager's Guide to Preventing Employee Lawsuits was published by Prentice Hall in 1993. The video, Preventing Employee Lawsuits, based on her book, won the first place gold award at the Houston International Film Festival in 1994.
