Synopsis
This is an account of a child's heroic struggle for life. At eight months old, Nelia was struck down with a very rare intestinal disease which included a very badly damaged gut and frequent, profuse bleeding and fluid pouring from the gut. She spent months fighting this - mostly in a critical condition or unconscious - when she did improve, her gut was so damaged she could not eat. A new substance, still in its experimental stage regenerated damaged tissue and enabled her to start eating. This book chronciles Nelia's struggle against illness and her recovery.
