Herkom1nlioh Wird die Ruhr in drei verschiedene Formen ein getheilt, die endemische‚ die epidemische und die sporadische. Im allgemeinen kennzeichnen sich diese Formen folgendermassen: Klinisch, durch geringfügige‚ meistens blutig-schleimige, unter Kollern und Stuhlgang einhergehende Ausleerungen; anatomisch, durch katarrhalische, pseudomembranose, be ziehungsweise ulceröse Veränderungen der Dickdarm schleimhaut. Alle drei Formen bieten dieses Bild der, nicht selten aber fehlt das eine oder das andere der Merkmale, und wir behelfen uns zur Unterscheidung derselben‚ indem wir die ätiologischen und anatomischen Beziehungen der Erkrankung mit den uns zugebote stehenden Hilfsmitteln zu ermitteln suchen.
