Synopsis
This book is an analysis of university education in Canada and is divided into three parts. The first and second parts argue for the reorganization of Laval University. In the first part, the author, while Vice-Rector of the university, makes a case to the Vatican for reallocating funds that had been raised for the university but were being spent on its Quebec City campus to its Montreal campus. The author provides extensive financial information to demonstrate the need and makes his case based on the principle of fairness. In the second part, the author continues to argue for the financial independence of the Montreal campus. The third part of the book is a response to objections and concludes with an appeal that the reallocation of funds for the Montreal campus would lead to greater prosperity and influence for Laval University overall.
