You are familiar, from your previous studies, with the various forms of nerve-endings which receive sensory impressions. You Observe in the drawings the features of some of those which are best recognised. In fig. 1 you perceive the general arrangement of the Pacinian bodies on the nerves of the finger, and you will remember that they occur also in the toes, the arms, the neck, the thorax, the genital organs, the joints, the peri osteum, and the mesentery. In fig. 2 you see the appearance of a Pacinian body magnified 350 diameters....
