After introductions to the emerging gene families, the history of ADT- Ribose, and ADP-Ribosylation cycles, the 59 papers cover lessons from procaryotes, molecular approaches to studies in eucaryotes, the enzyme in the immune system and other animal tissues, the physiology of membrane proteins anchored by GPI, NAD+glycohydrolases and ADP-ribosylcyclases, and contemplation of the evolution of the enzyme in the context of the immune system.
