Tells the story of reporter Michael Nicholson's rescue of Natasha, a nine-year-old orphan from Sarajevo and her integration into a new way of life 1000 miles from her native land. The book is both an indictment of the horror and futility of the Bosnian War and a tribute to one girl's courage.
