The State Capitol is located on what is now squares 48 and 53, city of Indianapolis, which squares are bounded by Ohio street on the north, Capitol avenue (formerly Tennessee street) on the east, Washington street on the south and Senate avenue (formerly Mississippi street) on the west, making a tract of land 930 feet in length and 420 feet in width, and containing about nine acres.
