About the Author:
Professor Kathy Hall is Head of the Centre for Educational Research at Leeds Metropolitan University. She has published widely in the field of literacy and assessment and is currently leading a systematic review of the research on effective literacy teaching, funded by the United Kingdom Reading Association.
