From the Back Cover:

Developing and Delivering Practice-based Evidence offers avariety of alternatives to complement traditional trialsmethodology that can improve the overall quality of services in thevarious fields of psychological therapies. Instead of relying onevidence-based practice alone, the book promotes a range ofmethodological approaches that allow practitioners to makecontributions as equal stake-holders in the process.

The text provides authoritative accounts of the paradigms ofevidence-based practice and practice-based evidence. It looks atthe methods available to individual practitioners in building anevidence base, such as case-study, single-case, and qualitativeapproaches. Other topics covered include the adoption of commonmeasurement systems from the US and UK, methods of benchmarking andcase-tracking, and organisational and networking components.

Presenting thought-provoking and exciting new approaches to theongoing challenge of providing the most effective psychologicaltherapy services, this book is an ideal tool for practitionerslooking to expand the available evidence base beyond traditionalmethodology.
