About the Author:

Steve Einhorn grew up in Great Neck, NY; received a B.A. in chemistry from Cornell University in 1964 and an M.S. in polymeric materials from Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute in 1967. He then worked as a chemist and manager for 10 years at a family paint business, Adelphi Paint and Color Works, founded by his grandfather. In 1975, he took the lead in selling the business and found it so challenging that he formed Einhorn Associates, a merger and acquisition firm focused on selling specialty chemical businesses. In 2000 he led the Entrepreneurial Committee at Cornell University and became interested in early stage technology companies. This led to his interest in early stage health care, technology and socially responsible businesses, a current focus of Einhorn Associates. Steve has been active with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater, the Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World and the Cornell Club in Wisconsin.
