"Suzanne Girard Eberle’s book Endurance Sports Nutrition is the most comprehensive book I’ve read on the topic of nutrition for endurance athletes. It is filled with scientific research as well as practical, everyday tips. Everyone from the weekend warrior to the elite endurance athlete could benefit from reading this book. I only wish it had been written before I started running ultramarathons. Unfortunately, I had to learn many of the lessons in this book through trial and error."
Ann Trason World record holder in the 40, 50, and 100 mile; 100 km; and 12-hour runs Ten-time women’s winner of Western States 100 mile Endurance Run

"Many athletes believe that success in endurance sports is only about training and mental toughness; however, an athlete’s diet is paramount to success and overall health. Suzanne Girard Eberle has created an exhaustive reference for athletes wanting to maximize their performance through sound nutrition. She presents the science behind sports nutrition in a way that is easy to understand and she provides many practical suggestions for food choices. The personal experiences that professional athletes share throughout the book add an important human component to sports nutrition. These athletes are very candid about sharing what did and didn’t work in their events relating to food and sports nutrition products. This book is the sports nutrition bible for endurance athletes."
