About the Author:
Ann Granger has lived in cities all over the world, since for many years she worked for the Foreign Office and received postings to British embassies as far apart as Munich and Lusaka. She is now permanently based in Oxfordshire.

This time the grand opening of a new country hotel is marred by the discovery of a recently murdered body on the premises. Trouble all around, and much fun for the listener. Boyd's mastery of regional accents highlights the characters' varying backgrounds. Her careful pacing lets the story unfold with a natural rhythm--one can almost follow the characters around in one's imagination. The only criticism is that occasionally Boyd's narrative voice cannot be distinguished from the voice given to Mitchell, but the slips are not a big problem. Prepare to curl up and listen happily.
