About the Author:

Mike Sullivan has a long-standing interest in San Francisco's trees. A twenty-year resident of the city and a member and past board president of the nonprofit Friends of the Urban Forest, he leads frequent neighborhood tours for that organization. Sullivan is a certified arborist and a member of the City of San Francisco's Urban Forest Council. He lives in the well-forested neighborhood of Parnassus Heights.
