About the Author:
When Janelle Dimmett was a child in rural Missouri, she would spend hours observing horses and other farm animals and attempting to draw their figures with pencil. Having mastered the form, she now likes to use marker and ink on illustration board for much of her artwork. Nature and wildlife are still favorite subjects as are cupcakes, Easter eggs, and ice cream sundaes and the rich, vibrant colors that she favors lend her work a playful tone. She layers detailed pen work over the marker to anchor the vibrancy. The result is a dynamic mix of stillness and energy.
