About the Author

Myrna Kostash is the author of the classic All of Baba’s Children, the award-winning No Kidding: Inside the World of Teenage Girls, and Bloodlines: A Journey into Eastern Europe. Her most recent book is The Doomed Bridegroom: A Memoir, which was one of the Globe and Mail’s notable books of 1999. Her essays and magazine articles have appeared in numerous anthologies.

Kostash has been the Chair of the Writers’ Union of Canada and serves on the executive committee of the Canadian Conference of the Arts. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta.
