About the Author

Jon Reyhner is Professor of Education at Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff. Reyhner has taught on the Navajo Reservation and served as a school administrator for the Blackfeet, Fort Peck, Havasupai, White Mountain Apache, and other communities. He is the editor of "Teaching American Indian Students."

Walter R. Echo-Hawk, formerly an attorney for the Native American Rights Fund, currently practices law in Oklahoma City. He is a member of the Pawnee Nation.

PAUL C. ROSIER is Visiting Assistant Professor of History at Villanova University.
