Reviews

We reviewed Space and Astronomy Experiments in our January 1 & 15, 2010, issue, and this additional volume in the Facts On File Experiments series is similar. A one-sentence overview of each investigation (20 per volume) is followed by an introduction, time requirements, materials list, procedures, sample data table, analysis questions, discussions of the scientific principles involved, their connection to real life, and further reading. Color diagrams and drawings illustrate each experiment. The series is aligned with the National Science Education Standards. Grades 6-12. --Mary Ellen Quinn
