She has also completed a post-master's Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Program at Northern Kentucky University. Dr. Luggen is past President of the National Gerontological Nursing Associate, and past Editor of its national newsletter. She is currently President of the Ohio Geriatric Nurse Practitioner Association, and serves on several boards, such as Cincinnati's Nurse Executives, and on the Greater Cincinnati Gerontological Nursing Association. 9
