Synopsis
Once feared throughout North America, wolves have been poisoned, brutally trapped, and strafed from airplanes. Environmentalists have achieved a hard-won and highly publicized reassessment of this eradication policy, and reintroduction programs are now in place at a number of public land sites. About the Author
Robert Busch has published articles on natural history in many publications, including Wildlife Conservation and Country Journal. The author of the Wolf Almanac and other works, he lives in central British Columbia, where he is sometimes lulled to sleep by wolf songs.
