Synopsis
The disapproval of Granville Ryder's fatherthe Earl of Harrowby leaves Granville believing he cannot be accepted by hisheavenly Father or accomplish anything of worth. Even his special friendshipwith Georgiana, daughter of the Duke of Beaufort, is almost destroyed byGranville's conflicts.
In a story that moves from Cambridge to theMidlands, to London to Wales, the counsel of Charles Simeon, the example of WilliamWilberforce and the terrors of the Cato Street Rebellion (more dangerous thanthe notorious Guy Fawkes Plot) lead Granville to restoration and love.
