Reviews

In this sequel to Veiled Threats (Crossway, 1996), newlywed archaeologists Mars and Anne Enderly, while on a dig in Babylon, end up caught in a conspiracy to hide the existence of a secret biological weapons lab in Iraq. When the girlfriend of a close friend mysteriously disappears while working in the lab, Mars and Anne discover that their own lives are in danger. While the Christian element of the story is put toward the back, the questioning Mars has felt about his relationship to God is resolved by the book's end. Mars and Anne make an engaging couple, adding an enjoyable dimension to a satisfying thriller.
