Following the Preface to the Second Edition and the Preface, Contents divided into 8 essays: [1] "Truth and Landscape"; [2] "Beauty in Photography"; [3] "Civilizing Critics"; [4] "Photographing Evil"; [5] "Making Art New"; "Reconciliations with Geography": [6] Minor White"; [7] "Frank Gohlke"; [8] "C.A. A 1" soft crease at bottom center front cover and a similar 5 1/2" curvilinear one from lower edge to just above midpoint on right side front cover, plus micro-hints of outward curls at corners are only peccadilloes to artifiact: Tight binding (NO cracks); nNO rubbing wear); essentially sharp corners; NO remainder marks; NO previous owner names.
