Playing on Your Last String is a motivational/inspirational book written by a Cardiologist who invests his life in building character in our youth. It has seven sections, each with short chapters. Three nationally known cartoonist (i.e., Dennis the Menace) have allowed their cartoon strips to be in the book. The title was inspired by Paganini, a great violinist; while performing, the strings on his violin snapped one by one, down to the last string. Despite his situation, Paganinin made the most beautiful music by playing on one string! The book teaches the readers to pursue their dreams, live life to the fullest, help others along the way and perseverve despite playing on their last string. Heartwarming!!

Samuel A. Kojoglanian, MS, MD
AKA Dr. Rap
I am a physician, specializing in Cardiology.
I am a graduate of USC (Univ. of Southern California):
BS in Psychobiology (1988), MS in Anatomy (1991), and MD from USC Medical School (1995). I am a Board Certified Internal Medicine doctor, and a Fellow in Cardiology. I travel the US speaking to kids re: the harm of drugs and violence. Because I have to capture the imagination of kids, I use rap music!! I am therefore known as Dr. Rap, the worlds only Rapping Cardiologist! I have 2 CD's with antiviolence, antidrugs and proeducational messages (Licensed to Heal and Cut to the Heart), both of which I am requesting to sell on Amazon. Because of my hardships re: getting into medical school (27 rejections) and being made fun of when I first moved to America, I know what it means to play on your last string...I therefore attempt to inspire kids throughout our nation to dream big, stay in school, stay away from drugs, and bust a rhyme by playing their best on their last string.
