About the Author

Sarah Plummer, the founder of SemperSarah.com and creator of the leading holistic health and wellness seminar series for veterans and their family and friends - the Just Roll With It Bootcamp for Transitioning Warriors www.JustRollWithItBootcamp.com - is a 2003 University of Virginia graduate, published author, former Marine Corps Intelligence Officer, and 5-time Military Olympic Athlete who is on a mission to empower those who have experienced trauma or difficult life events to "just roll with it." Sarah spent two years in Air Force ROTC at UVA before transitioning to Navy and Marine Corps ROTC. She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 2003, deployed to combat zones in Iraq twice from 2005-2007, and last served as the Deputy Director for the Geospatial Intelligence Directorate of the Marine Corps Intelligence Activity. Since leaving Active Duty service in 2009, Sarah performed volunteer work in the Middle East and Europe, then worked for a distinguished defense contractor in Washington DC as a Socio-Cultural Geospatial Human Terrain Analyst. Sarah then left the conventional workforce to hone her expertise as a registered yoga instructor, certified holistic health coach, and battle-tested leader in order to powerfully inspire, instruct, and equip audiences to healthfully navigate any challenge life throws at them. Sarah can empathize, having survived a host of traumatic events herself. She has been hit by a car, struck by lightning, survived a devastating car crash, was raped by a fellow service member, has broken nearly every bone in her body, and faced daily medical issues related to arthritis, scoliosis, multiple Traumatic Brain Injuries, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Yet, Sarah's message is one of hope; she encourages her audiences to see obstacles as opportunities, turn tragedy into triumph, and be healthy in order to heal. Sarah continues to serve the military community as well as the civilian sector through stress-management health-coaching programs for individuals and corporate groups, leading international health and wellness retreats, mentoring youth and college students, and keynote speaking. Sarah has moved more than 30 times and has recently established a landing pad in Denver, CO with the company of her amazing, three-legged wonder-dog, Bailey.

Review

"Sarah Plummer Taylor's must-read book will inspire you to personal greatness, challenge you to transform absolutely every area of your life, and dare you to love the life you live! Sarah's friendly voice will encourage you to change what you can, as she has, and then let go enough to live life resiliently and magically because sometimes, it's true, you gotta just roll."   Kristine Carlson, Co-Author of the New York Times Best-Selling Don't Sweat the Small Stuff book series

"Sarah is onto something profound, the path to personal growth after adversity through the courage to share her story and the tools that helped her find her intuitive center.   She reminds us that when the journey is rough, answers come not so much through trying to figure things out, but by attending to how our experiences are stored in the body."
Charles W. Hoge, M.D., Colonel (Ret), Author of Once a Warrior--Always a Warrior: Navigating the Transition from Combat to Home
