Guillén de Castro y Bellvís (Valencia, 1569-Madrid, 1631). España. Fue capitán de caballería, gobernador de Scigliano en Nápoles y en Madrid secretario del marqués de Peñafiel. Muy cercano a Lope de Vega, formó parte de la Academia de los nocturnos, la única academia que publicó en actas los poemas discutidos durante sus reuniones semanales y que radicó en Valencia entre 1591 y 1593. Murió en la pobreza y un tanto olvidado.
