Synopsis
This book is a collection of 461 deeds, ranging from the time of Henry II to that of Charles II, which together provide an insight into the history of Frankley Hall, a manor house near Birmingham, and the surrounding area. The majority of the deeds refer to a few places only, and as everyone may not have easy access to the pages of Nash, the historian of Worcestershire, the book also includes short accounts of Frankley, Halesowen, Warley -Wigorn, Over Arley, and Hagley. The author has transcribed ten of the more interesting deeds in an appendix, and the book also includes an exhaustive index, in which every name and place mentioned in the deeds is recorded.
