The illustrations, in Cousins' signature style, feature bold, black outlines filled with deep, solid colors, making the pictures easy for even toddlers to interpret. Adults hoping for a simple guide to using libraries may be disappointed. It makes perfect sense to Maisy that she finds a fish book by the aquarium; the Dewey Decimal system can wait a few years.
