He is an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow, a member of the editorial board of theJournal of Colloid and Interface Scienceand vice-president of Lublin Division of Polish Chemical Society. He has authoredChemical Properties of Materials Surfaces(Dekker 2001) and over 100 journal papers (Hirsch index of 22). He received two Minister of Education of Poland awards for scientific achievement in 1990 and 2000. He has also received the award of the Scientific Society of the City of Lublin in 2003, and theJournal of Colloid and Interface ScienceMost Cited Paper 2004-2007 Award of Elsevier.
