Sivasailam "Thiagi" Thiagarajan has been a high-school physics teacher, street-corner magician, social activist, author, instructional designer, education researcher, project director for the U.S. Agency for International Development, and consultant. He is currently the resident mad scientist at the Thiagi Group, an organization that specializes in improving human performance effectively and enjoyably. He is a regular presenter at professional conferences and active in professional organizations. Thiagi has been president of the International Society for Performance Improvement (ISPI) twice and president of the North American Simulation and Gaming Association (NASAGA) four times.
