Over 200 color photographs offer a scenic travelogue of East Tennessee's back roads as seen from a bike.

About the Author:

The countless miles of country back roads in East Tennessee lends itself to long distance riding, which is Colquitt's passion. In addition to century and charity rides, Colquitt has ridden RAGBRAI (The Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa), around the Finger Lakes in New York, toured the Blue Ridge Parkway in its entirety and the Cottswolds in England.
Jon Livengood first discovered the fantastic cycling landscape of Knoxville training for Mountain Bike, Cyclocross and Road Racing events. Working as a team, the authors combine their passion for bicycling with their technical skills to self-publish guide books for the adventurer.
As a graphic designer and photographer, Elle contributes to the book's layout, design and gallery of pictures while Jon's mapping and engineering skills create detailed maps explicit to the needs of a bicyclist.

Knoxville, Tennessee's first bicycling guidebook was worth the wait. Colquitt saw the need for a guidebook dedicated to Knoxville's cycling routes. The result is Bicycling Routes, a reference tool that will be invaluable to local cyclists as well as to visitors from out of town. In researching the book, Colquitt tapped into the collective knowledge of Knoxville's cycling community to draw a bead on the best roads and routes close to Knoxville. Bicycling Routes is purposefully small enough to enable cyclists to copy off pages to take with them.
