About the Authors

James L. Bailey is the John S. and William A. Wagner Professor Emeritus of Biblical Theology at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He has published several Bible studies for the church and is the coauthor of Literary Forms in the New Testament(1992).

Craig L. Nessan is William D. Streng Professor for the Education and Renewal of the Church and professor of contextual theology and ethics at Wartburg Theological Seminary. He is the author of several books, including Wilhelm Loehe and North America (2020).
