This textbook is for those interested in the development of Australia's native produce. About the Author:
Juleigh Robins is a chef and bushfood industry pioneer. Her company, Robins Bush Foods, sources and produces a wide range of bushfood products for restaurants, airlines and gourmet suppliers all over Australia (a range has recently been introduced to Coles nationally). She is a committee member of the Australian Native Bushfoods Industry Committee set up by the government in early 1995 and is a founding member of the recently formed Victorian Bushfoods Network. Rhys Freeman has a nursery of over 3000 native plants and has been a regular presenter on bushfood plants for Permaculture Melbourne. For the past five years he and his family have collaborated with Robins Bush Foods in researching and trialling a wide range of edible native plants on their own 'bushfood garden' in Victoria's Gippsland. This property is the inspiration behind the book. Both authors have worked closely with Aboriginal communities.
