About the Author:

Joseph Ginat, formerly Chairman of the Jewish-Arab Center at the University of Haifa, and a former Director of the Israeli Academic Center in Cairo, is currently working with the Egyptian scholar Maha El-Rashidi on methods of conflict resolution. Moshe Maoz is Professor Emeritus of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies at The Hebrew University, Jerusalem and Visiting Scholar at Harvard University. He has published many books and articles on the political and social history of the Middle East.
