Edward Wesson was a British painter known for his simple yet elegant watercolors of coasts and rivers. Born on April 29, 1910 in London, he was largely self-taught, developing his own style of economical strokes to depict his subjects. The artist was most inspired by water, and many of his paintings depict the moody blues and grays of the river Thames. He went on to become a full member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, exhibited with the Royal Society of British Artists, and the Royal Society of Marine Artists. Wesson died in 1983. RightWayUp Books aims to provide accurate and detailed descriptions. All images are of the actual book for sale - no stock images are ever used.
