Synopsis
Informationsmanagement und Controlling sind zwei Unternehmensfunktionen, die in ihren Zielsetzungen und Aufgabenbereichen sehr ähnlich sind. Das Informationsmanagement muß mit den notwendigen Systemen und Infrastruktur dem Controlling das entsprechende Arbeitsumfeld schaffen. Die Autorin beschreibt, welchen Stellenwert die Informationsverarbeitung in einem Unternehmen hat, wie die Wirtschaftlichkeit der bestehenden Informationssysteme überprüft werden kann und worauf der Informationsmanager beim Aufbau neuer Strukturen achten muß.

About the Author
Ulrike Baumöl studierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre mit dem Schwerpunkten Wirtschaftsinformatik und Unternehmensrechnung an der Universität Dortmund. Seit Ende 1992 ist sie an der Universität Dortmund als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Lehrstuhl für Unternehmensrechnung und Controlling von Prof. Dr. Thomas Reichmann tätig. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte sind: Die Möglichkeiten einer Synthese von Informationsmanagement und Unternehmens-Controlling, das Projektmanagement von Softwareentwicklungsprojekten sowie die Möglichkeiten eines Einsatzes von künstlicher Intelligenz für betriebswirtschaftliche Problemstellungen.
