Septiembre de 2015. Katherine Marsh nació en Kingston, Nueva York. Hija única, creció devorando libros y escuchando las historias familiares de inmigración: tres de sus cuatro abuelos llegaron a Estados Unidos como inmigrantes, uno de ellos con apenas diecisiete años. Después de licenciarse en Literatura Inglesa en Yale, trabajó durante un año como profesora en un instituto, antes de comenzar su carrera como periodista, que le ha llevado a colaborar con medios como Rolling Stone, The Washington City Paper y The New Republic .
