This monograph covers the labour law and industrial relations in Germany. As of 3rd October 1990 the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic are reunited again. But there is still a contrast between these two former countries. While the Western part grew into a prosperous democracy, the Eastern part followed a strict centralized planning system. Of course these developments had and still have their effect on the German labour law and industrial relations. This book is divided into three major parts: an introduction; the individual employment relationship and the collective labour law. This edition is reprinted from the looseleaf International Encyclopaedia for Labour Law and Industrial Relations.
