Synopsis
This book provides an accessible introduction to the history, theory and techniques of informetrics. Divided into 14 chapters, it develops the content system of informetrics from the theory, methods and applications; systematically analyzes the six basic laws and the theory basis of informetrics and presents quantitative analysis methods such as citation analysis and computer-aided analysis. About the Author
Junping Qiu is Director of the Research Center for China Science Evaluation, and Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Information Management at Wuhan University. His research interests include scientometrics, informetrics, scientific evaluation, quality management, knowledge management and competitive intelligence. He is a respected information scientist and evaluation management expert as well as one of the main founders of bibliometrics in China.
