Dr. Nilesh Chothani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar, India. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Sardar Patel University in 2013. He has 20 years of teaching experience at the UG/PG level. His research interests include electrical machines, power system analysis, power system protection, power system simulation and modeling, artificial intelligence, integration of renewable energy sources to grid, and smart grid. He has developed a state-of-the-art power system protection laboratory including real-time operation of digital/numerical relaying scheme. He has published 35 peer-reviewed refereed international journal papers, 7 national journal papers, and 36 IEEE international conference papers. He has also published 6 books in the domain of power system protection and switchgear. He has successfully guided three Ph.D. candidates and guiding three more Ph.D. research scholars.
Dr. Dharmesh Patel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Government Engineering College, Bharuch, Gujarat, India. He received a B.E. degree from North Gujarat University, Patan, Gujarat, in 1999 and master's degree in power system from the Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidhyanagar, Gujarat, India, in 2002. He received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat, India, in 2019. His field of research is power transformer protection. He has published more than 28 research articles in various international journals and IEEE conferences till date and 2 books with an international publisher.
Dr. Chirag Parekh is a senior design engineer at Hyundai Power Transformers, Montgomery, USA. His last position held with Atlanta Electricals Private Limited (AEPL) was Vice President—Technical. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from R.K. University in 2017. His total industrial-academic experience is around 22 years. He has the most significant power transformer design, engineering, and manufacturing expertise. He is also an expert in switchgear and protection, testing and commissioning of electrical equipment, substation engineering, power generation, transmission and distribution, and electricity generation by solar and wind. He has expertise in simulation and software-based electrostatic and electromagnetic analysis. He has also developed and established a fully automated and state-of-the-art power transformer testing laboratory for testing power transformers up to 200 MVA capacity and 220 kV voltage class including a 1400 kV impulse voltage generator. He has published more than 20 papers in national and international journals and conferences.
