About the Authors

Professor Qian Liu is the Dean of the Academy of Film and Creative Technology (AFCT) and a Professor at Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), China, following his tenure as the founding Dean of the Digital Media School at the Beijing Film Academy (BFA), China. He has held a range of academic research positions in the US and China, including appointments as a visualization integration researcher at the California Institute for Telecommunication and Information Technology (Calit2), University of California, San Diego, USA, as well as system researcher at the US National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), and China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI).

His diverse research and creative interests span across digital media arts and technology, digital filmmaking, immersive display systems, interactive design, VR/AR/XR, and generative AI applications — an expertise he also practices as an internationally exhibited digital media artist.

Professor Liu has achieved significant, tangible results by applying his creativity and research across his interdisciplinary specializations. He was the former Executive Chairman of the Digital Imaging Creative Committee of the China Video Industry Association (CVIA) and Deputy Director of the 5G Professional Committee of China Communications Industry Association. He also held the position of Chairman of the International Creative Art Contest (ICAC) at the 2024 Busan International Art Festival (BIAF) and Chair of the International AI Visual art Contest (IAIV) at the 2025 (BIAF). Currently, he is a member of the 2024 film gold digital Honor Recommendation Committee, as well as a member of the AI Imaging/Video Talent Selection Programme Recommendation Committee.

Professor Wenling Li is the Chief Expert at the College of Humanities and Education and a Professor at Xi'an Eurasia University, China. She is a distinguished educational researcher with extensive experience in the field, having previously held dual roles as the Director of the Doctoral Program and Doctoral Advisor at US-based Trident International University's College of Education.

Professor Li holds a PhD from Beijing Normal University, China (1991) and completed her postdoctoral research at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (1992), where she later served as a Senior Research Scientist at the university's Children's Reading Research Center. During this time, she led the Spencer Foundation-funded comparative reading research project between China and the US.

She is currently an active member of several prestigious professional organizations, including the American Educational Research Association (AERA), the US National Association for Early Childhood Education (NAEYC), and the American Council on Foreign Language Teaching (ACTFL). Her major publications include one book published in the US and ten books published in China, reflecting her deep scholarly contributions to both countries.
