Zach returned to Houston after his release to write jingles for an advertising firm. Since Kelly had taken a 10-year hiatus to protest, she and Cliff were on the brink of financial disaster. On her return home, she is kidnapped from a roadhouse parking lot by two degenerate brothers. After a period of no progress, her case was relegated to the cold case files.
