TWO VOLUME SET. I, English castles A-N; II, English castles O-W, Welsh castles; each castle has its own engraved plate with tissue and a couple of pages of description; each volume has an engraved title page as well as the printed title page, plate of Newcastle castle as a frontispiece to volume I, plate of Tintagel as frontispiece to volume II, signature of a previous owner to the front free endpaper of both volumes, some plates are prefectly clean some have light spotting and some have more heavy foxing, the text pages are not as affected, watered red/brown cloth boards, corners bumped and rubbed, spine ends frayed and chipped and joints starting to split, volume I has a shelf label to the spine, gilt spine lettering. The engravings are very attractive. Size: 10 x 6.25 Inches.

The Old Hall Bookshop was established in 1977 by John and Lady Juliet Townsend. The Old Hall is a very fine 18th century house in the centre of Brackley, a pleasant market town about 18 miles north of Oxford. The shop has a large stock of antiquarian, second-hand, new books and maps covering a wide range of interests and prices. We welcome visitors and trade customers. Parking is easy in the Market Square. Disabled access available. Opening hours: We are open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5:30pm excluding bank holidays US Customs may now review all UK origin shipments. We ship books under HS CODE 4901.99.00 which remain duty free, though some US states may apply sales tax or handling charges.…
